ORGUT Consulting AB is a leading consulting company in development programme management, planning and evaluation. Building on more than 35 years of experience, ORGUT provides technical expertise to multilateral & bilateral donors, national governments and private sector clients worldwide. In 2009, more than 120 international and national experts were fielded in 20 countries and company turnover reached almost 11 million USD.

ORGUT believes that people’s active participation in project planning, budgeting, implementing and monitoring is a precondition for sustainable economic and social development. Since 1973, our advisors have promoted equitable access to natural resources, local participation and rights-based approaches. ORGUT maintains its strong poverty alleviation focus and supports democratic governance, decentralisation and mainstreaming of cross-cutting issues.

ORGUT is staff-owned, which over the years has ensured a high degree of independence and continuity appreciated by our clients. Besides the commitment of our staff, ORGUTs IS O Certified Quality Assurance System ensures quality of services throughout all assignment stages. This tried and tested system for continuous quality control of technical assistance is steadily refined and ensures efficient and effective project performance.

ORGUT facilitates complex long term programmes in a result-oriented manner, specialising in integrated rural development and sustainable management of natural resources to sustain economic growth and social well-being. We build the capacity of individuals, organisations and institutions in agriculture & livestock value chains, food security, forestry, land management & administration and integrated water resource management, supply & sanitation. Much of this is actively linked to climate change adaptation and mitigation at operational level.

Through our strong field presence, ORGUT provides decision-makers with inputs for informed policy making and local programme implementers with practical tool boxes and access to international experiences. Our national and international consultants support local programme ownership and integration into existing administrative structures, which promotes efficient scaling up of ‘best practises’. We facilitate institutional change and empower stakeholders through technical skills transfer, capacity building, method development, and setting up of strategic communication & management information systems.
