in vietnam, orgut has been present for the past twenty years beginning with the Sida-funded project in Bai Bang. ORGUTs local representation in Hanoi has been expanding over the last ten years and today it is fully capable of providing state of the art technical and administrative support to both short and long term assignments in Vietnam. The professional local office staff guarantees a very close direct working relationship with client, national and international consultants. This caters for close technical follow up of ongoing assignments, logistical back up and rapid troubleshooting.

Due to its long-term presence in Vietnam, ORGUT has access to a large network of regional and local consultants. In the long term assignments, which ORGUT has carried out for the ADB, the EC, Sida and other donors, sound working relations with local institutions of higher learning and other public and private service providers have been established.

Đến nay ORGUT đã làm việc ở Việt Nam được hơn 20 năm, khởi đầu với dự án Sida hỗ trợ ở Bãi Bằng. Năm 1996 Orgut chính thức đặt Văn phòng đại diện tại Hà Nội và từ đó Văn phòng này đã không ngừng được mở rộng, phát triển. Hiện tại, VPĐD Orgut tại Hà Nội có đầy đủ năng lực hỗ trợ về cả kỹ thuật và quản lý hành chính cho các chuyên gia nước ngoài làm việc ngắn hạn và dài hạn ở Việt Nam. Cán bộ của Văn phòng là những người có năng lực, có tình thần hợp tác tốt với các khách hàng, các tổ chức, cơ quan tư vấn trong nước và quốc tế. Đây là một điểm mạnh về hỗ trợ theo dõi kỹ thuật và các vấn đề khác như hành chính quản trị, xử lý các khó khăn nảy sinh trong quá trình thực thi chương trình/dự án có hiệu quả cao.

Với chiến lược hoạt động lâu dài tại Việt Nam, ORGUT có quan hệ hợp tác tốt, sâu rộng với mạng lưới các chuyên gia tư vấn trong nước và khu vực. Qua quá trình thực hiện các dự án dài hạn và ngắn hạn được ADB, EC, Sida, WB và các nhà tài trợ khác hỗ trợ, ORGUT đã xây dựng được quan hệ hợp tác làm việc hiệu quả, tốt đẹp với nhiều tổ chức, cơ quan trong nước thuộc các thành phần kinh tế khác nhau.
 

Vu Hoai Minh

Deputy Team Leader Chia Se / Vietnam Office Representative
Mr. Vu Hoai Minh has a Master’s degree in economics from the Hanoi National Economics University. After his graduation, he first applied his skills in the forestry research establishment, significantly contributing to the transition of the sector towards market-orientation. Since 1996, however, when ORGUT set up its Representative Office in Hanoi, Mr. Vu Hoai Minh has been working for the company in a long series of short-term consultancies and, since late 2003, as Deputy Team Leader for ORGUT in the Chia Se Poverty Alleviation Programme.

Le Thi Hang

Deputy Representative Hanoi Office
Ms. Le Thi Hang, an economist as well as interpreter by profession, left her employment with the (former) Ministry of Forestry when she joined ORGUT in 1997. Beginning as an administrative assistant and translator, she has more recently been working as Director of Finance of ORGUT’s Representative Office and administrator of its local employees, about 60 in total.
 

Business Development Officer
Ms. Nguyen Phuong Nga was trained as interpreter and translator and worked with commercial projects before she joined ORGUT in 2003. During her years with ORGUT, she has taken part in different programmes and projects and has held a range of previous positions: as project coordinator, procurement officer, financial assistant as well as personnel officer. She has also participated in collecting and processing data and information for various assignments. Recently, she worked for the Chia se Poverty Alleviation Programme as a short-term consultant in quality assurance and as training assistant for the capacity building team.

Ms. Nguyen Phuong Nga is concurrently working towards a Masters in Business Management, to be completed by the end of 2008 at the National Economics University of Vietnam and Solvay Business School under Brussels University, Belgium.
